T450 Tower is a light modular structure, composed by standard sections of 3m/each, joined together by horizontal flange joints. Therefore height can vary depending on the number of sections used, up to a maximum of 60 meters, and more in its weighted version.
The base part, different, hold the 9 anchor bolts to be dived in a reinforced concrete foundation plinth. The stays, up to 5 per corner for height 60 m and every 9 m in correspondence with an anti-torsion plate, converge into three other plinths equidistant from the centre of the tower.
At the top there is the possibility to mount a special section that hold an off-tower pole for the positioning of antennas and/or panels. The uprights are tubular and the diagonals are in a solid round shaped serpentine before welding.
Over 60 meters the pylon continues to overhang for about 2 meters, in order not to obstruct the equipment with the stays.
The stays are all 10 mm diameter with 114 wires and compared to the maximum work resulting from the calculation still have security = 3 against the break, witch in this case is worth 3,100 kg. Stays are hot-dip galvanized.
The forestay with the greatest slope has a 62° angle with the ground level.
The calculation legislation follows the DM 17.01/2018. The T450 Tower is adequate in zone 1, Exposure 3 up to 1.000 m on sea level and has the resistance law up to a wind of 152 km/h, spilling both on itself, both on the stays, both on the equipment.
The stays must be pre-stretched up to a value of about 150 kg to adjust the verticality and seasonal variations in temperature. Due to the modest value of the pre-tension, it is advisable to use a common spring dynamometer.
